Listen to Madeline on the Hey Hey Emmy Show

We hear all the time that we need to think about hiring support or outsourcing as our business grows - but when the time comes to do that, where should you start?

You can’t run your business alone if you want it to grow. Creating a bigger impact with your business takes a team. So in this episode, Emmy Cornwell and I chat about how hiring a VA (virtual assistant) can really take your business to the next level by leaving you more time to do what you do best.

It might be time to hire help if you feel overwhelmed. Your business can benefit from hiring someone to perform tasks outside of your zone of genius, even for a few hours a week. What are the things you hate doing? Can you have someone else do them for you? Even if you are not making enough money to hire someone full-time right now, you might be able to pay for a few tasks to be delegated.

When you are looking for this new team member, make sure they are a good match for your company and are in line with your vision. When you hire the wrong person, you can actually set yourself back, instead of moving forward. Even if your budget is $5 an hour, make sure the person you hire aligns with your values and mission.

You may be wondering, what tasks can be delegated to a virtual assistant? Think about those tasks that only you can perform, like coaching calls, live videos, recording podcast episodes, talking to people... you get the idea. You can delegate everything else. Managing social media accounts, editing podcasts and YouTube videos, setting up appointments, managing the back-end, all of these tasks can be delegated to your virtual assistant or your VA agency.

Here are some low-budget outsourcing options: data and admin work, calendar management, email management, removing junk emails, and website updating. There is a big difference between a $1,000 task and a $50 task, and all those $50 tasks can be outsourced. You can free up space for growth by eliminating a few tasks from your list.

Tune in to hear about all of this and more!
